cross country 2013

In cross country this year the winner of the girls was Quilah and second place Courtney and third place was Flurina. And the cross country winner of the boys was Jahmon and second place was Nick and third place was Ezra.



We all had so much fun and we all ran well. We were all so puffed out every one wanted a drink it also was really hot. I can't wait till next time.

Room 5's First Role Of The Week

On Friday last week we had our first role of the week. Role of the week is room 5 news. We have different people doing different things. Here are the people who did the items last week: Sebastian and I were on show & tell, Flurina was on make or bake, Kate & Dannielle were on news report, Sateki & Ezra were on Chair man, Caitlyn was on whether person, Kyla was on book review ,Nicholas was on sport report, Georgia & Huriana were on comedian, Courtney was on book report and Tom was our camera person.

For my show & tell I bought my telescope. :)

Museum trip!

THE MUSEUM  TRIP 

A few weeks ago rm 5 went to the musem to learn about polithanta the snail.
We learnt what kind of animals attacked the snail:the Rat, Pig ,Possom and Weka.
We learnt about some of the traps for the animals that hurt and kill the polithanta and other snails.We also learnt about the different types of snail shells and we found it really fun.
We got to find rocks that were souposed to be snails and they had names on them that told you what killed them. We made a graph on the predotors that kill them and the possum  kills the most.There was a big polosterine snail as big as a three year old and soon the staff are going to hang it up on a shelf next to a big Dinosaur. We got to draw a picture of a BIG snail and we had to try to get all the tiny details on the paper.
